( CHARACTER INFO )
Name: Red
Canon: Transistor
Canon Point: Almost the very end (Before the country)
Age: 27

Appearance: Red's around 5'6, a little taller in heels, and definitely on the slender side weight-wise. She's a tiny little thing, but she's tough. Her hair is a very vibrant, natural red and her eyes are a bright, ocean blue. She's very fair, very pale, and very elegant. Her hair is always styled perfectly, cut short in the back and a little longer in the front with two thick curls and side swept bangs.

She wears elaborate, elegant dresses when performing and likes to dress a little more casually when at home. Billowy fabrics in non-constrictive styles are her cup of tea. Something that flows in the breeze. The lady does have a thing for stylish boots, though. She's not afraid to trade fashion for functionality, but fashion definitely comes easily. She borrows B's jacket at any given opportunity and likely won't take it off while at Greyfields.

Powers/Abilities/Physical Limitations: Without Transistor, Red doesn't have any special abilities of her own aside from the voice she lost. Something about it inspires people, which is why they silenced her. She's quick, though, she's agile, but unarmed she's vulnerable. Red isn't a fighter, she's a singer. All she can do now is hum.

When in possession of the sword, she can do lots of things! Here's a comprehensive list of Transistor's abilities.

Inventory: Red comes equipped with a torn dress, a pair of boots, B's jacket and one hell of a migraine. Nothing else.

She'll be wanting her sword back.

History: Spoiler alert. Here!

Personality: Red never wanted to make waves. Not in the beginning. She certainly had a lot to say, and did so through her music, but the second it stirred up controversy, she withdrew from the spotlight. Causing problems was never her intent, she just wanted express herself. Individuality is very important to Red. The people of Cloudbank are important to her. She wants them to know that they have a choice. They don't have to lie down and do what they're told. No one does.

Sameness is one of Red's biggest fears. She doesn't want to fade into the crowd, she doesn't want the crowd to exist! Everyone has a spark inside of that and she wants to nurture it and keep it from fizzling out. Going against the grain is something she's done her entire life. She was the first on record to select two nontraditional disciplines, music and linguistics, at Traverson hall (A school known for it's civic planner alumni) and spent most of her time developing their nascent arts program. She's a big advocate of the arts and of creativity in general.

Red was content to advocate change peacefully and quietly through her music alone, never commenting on what prompted her sometimes controversial lyrics and never speaking out against anyone in particular. But the Camerata felt threatened. She didn't fall in line and they needed her. They took the man she loved and they took her voice but that only made her louder. That's when she started to fight.

Red won't take anything sitting down now. It's all or nothing. She'll fight for the truth and she'll fight to defend those who can't defend themselves. It's not about revenge, it's about what's right. She has a tenacity and a ferocity about her that make her incredibly independent and resourceful. She has no fear anymore because she has nothing left to lose. It makes her a bit reckless at times.

That doesn't mean she's not approachable. Red loves people. She wants to help anyone she can! Even if she gets there a little too late. Not being able to speak makes interactions a bit difficult, but that won't discourage her in the least. As long as you aren't a threat, she would probably love to meet you! Loneliness is a killer. Cherish everyone you meet.

Samples: Dialogue - text.

[TWO] Stealing food? Really? Red's not sure what kind of reward they think they can offer that would make the people trapped here turn on each other like that. People aren't petty enough to honestly consider-- ... No. She won't believe anyone would stoop that low. Not when they're all hungry. Not when they're all just trying to survive.

The people in charge are not to be trusted. No one should have that kind of power. No one should use that power to meddle in the lives of others like this!

Red grabs up her laptop and angles the screen so Boxer can see what she's typing.

We have enough to spare. If someone needs it, we can spare a little. No reward is worth turning on each other. They won't break us that easily.

Nice try, management. She's tougher than you think.

If you keep feeding me your portion, I won't be able to fit into this dress.

She's joking. Gotta keep it light. If you don't have a sense of humor in a place like this, it's easy to get eaten up by the darkness. She reaches for Boxer's hand, holding it tightly. They'll get through. They'll be fine.

[THREE] [That sound-- Red turns towards it almost immediately. She can't see a thing, but her feet are moving without hesitation. She has no idea who it is, she has no idea where they are, but she has Transistor and it's faint glow. It's something. She can do something!

Calling out is not an option. Will they hear her voice over the din? She's far enough away from the crowd rushing towards the exit that it's definitely worth a shot.

Red hums. As loudly as she possibly can. It's just a simple melody, but it's something. She stops, holding Transistor in front of her in both hands, and she waits, peering through the dark to no avail.

She starts moving again as soon as she hears the voice reply from the darkness.]
